Are there any references to the player's race at all? Jedi Knight i kept expecting someone to comment that my connection to the force was very strong because i'm a Miraluka. Something like that would give you a reason to replay classes as different races.

For IA this is true, you're referred to as an alien if you arent Sith Pure or Human/Cybernetic (dont think Sith Pureblood can be IA) and it becomes a discussion in some NPC discussions on kaas at Intel HQ that you're an alien and not human/sith. And I was referred to as Chiss even at one point. But other than that, it's subtle, but because Empire is Human/Pureblood bias. Ive only played aliens on Sith side.

for the sith side, if your not human they often make comments about you being an alien.. most of the time its done as an insult. I did notice once while playing my JK there was a moment where the JK said something about being an alien too but thats all I remember.

It makes sense that the Sith would be heavily racist while the Republic/Jedi would be more tolerable.

So I continued playing my Juggernaut from the previous weekend, and finished up at level 47. If I managed to hit 48 I think I could have finished the class story, it was just a bit too difficult at 47.

Anyway, the story is awesome. It feels like the way a Sith should be. Lots of manipulation, deception, betrayal, and killing people to get what you need. There's a few twists throughout the story as well, and for some, you'd probably see it coming. But I was oblivious to it lol, and did not see it coming at all. There's even a twist involving one of your companions, and it makes me wish they didn't take out the ability to kill off your companions, cause I would have loved to do it right there.

During the last weekend, I thought Alderaan was amazing, and massive. That all changed when I got to Hoth, Belsavis, Voss and Corellia. They make Alderaan look tiny. They look great though, and there's tons of content, but definitely challenging if you're under leveled. Lots of Gold Elite mobs wandering around in the quest areas, and if you're not prepared, expect to die quite a bit. :P

I played a sith pureblood sith inquisitor and had a quest that had me checking the level of sith blood in some of the important people. I think the conversation made reference that I was sith too.

It's funny cause i had complained that Jedi Knight was a little too over powered when you start out on Tython, however once you get to around lvl 15 the difficulty starts to ramp up. You deffinatly can't just rush through all the class missions just so you can say "i beat the game". Fortunatly most of the side missions are pretty entertaining and some offer you good LS/DS points.

Well I had a blast playing during beta. This game is going to be fun! I saw just the tip of the iceberg, but enough to know how much more there is. Plus my new PC setup handles everything at the highest settings without even breaking a sweat.

I was able to get the ship with my smuggler, Zurielle (thanks to Jedted/Tayla!), so I got to experience a little bit of the space missions, very exciting! And the story kept continuing too, very interesting... can't wait to see more of that! Smuggler fighting style is fun too.

I also got the ship with my pure-blood Sith Warrior, Anise... that thing was cool! SW story was good but overall (at least up to level 15ish) I didn't think it was as good as the smuggler one... just my opinion though. I was still totally into the story though. SW fighting style I really liked! Love the fly into battle move (which Jedi has too) and having Vette as your backup with duel blasters is great.

And I just had to bring Bimu into the fray... I tested Jedi Consular up to level 8 or 9, can't remember exactly.. but it was just when I got Qyzen as my companion. I thought the story here was pretty cool. It was starting to get real interesting with some twists too.

So now I'm kinda torn between my light side choice to begin with... I enjoyed both the ones I tried but I know that Consular will be more helpful in a group versus a Smuggler. However, if we have enough healers in the guild at launch then I will go with my original choice of smuggy.. loved tossing thermal detonators lol. Plus had a bunch of other great abilities even early on. I did a flashpoint and a few heroics with groups and I was always (inadvertently) pulling aggro away from the Jedi with my awesome moves hehe.

which AC did you do with smuggler? I'm looking towards doing gunslinger myself but I didn't play it at all in beta since I want to save the story til launch but I am wondering how they play

I chose Gunslinger though I didn't get very far at all up that skill tree.. only like 2 abilities.

Oh, something else that I really had fun with... certain NPCs had this bounty hunter-like move where they coil a rope/cord around you and pull you to them. My smuggy had the perfect counter for that... kick 'em in the crotch and while they're stunned pistol whip 'em lol - great fun!

I plan on going Sage(healing) with my Councilor so if you want you could do Shadow, Zuri.

We'll have enough Healers I think, my Trooper will probably go Commando, tho be my alt. You guys level quickly lol skip some sides? Took me a few days to get my ship and I skipped heroics and some sides. I've not had one side quest I felt bored with also. I mean, doing a few 4 times plus by then maybe lol but initially no.

I know Im torn a bit too, but what I love is every class is unique story and morality. And great balance imo of single/group content. ie: your class story and heroics/FPs/Ops etc.

I skipped a few side quests on Coruscant but only cause i really wanted to see what my ship looked like. I probebly won't rush through that fast after launch.

Yeah I intentionally skipped through some sides even dialogues because I want replaying a class fresh as can be. Want to take my time. I also found Coruscant took longer than Dromund Kaas, idk prob just in my head lol. I also did Kaas more, since my real main will be Republic. Tho I I'll be rolling my SI pretty soon after launch :)
