Free month for all accounts, active and inactive, because of that security issue (hack) of SOE database.

Plus, they changed the Character Transfer Service to FREE indefinitely. This means you can all move your toons over to Flurry for free! Even if you don't want to play, or keep playing after the free month, you can at least get your toons transferred over now... just in case it's not available later.

That's awesome that the transfer is free though, I might give it a try if I can ever get on lol

I am using the free month aswell, while i need to add.. Shadowfire is dead... i only saw the casual buffbots.. noone else.. maybe 3 or 4 while a invasion was going on but thats it. Ill read up on flurry since e can transfer for free and that all 90 day woot!

Trust me, Flurry is an excellent choice. Very well populated with more transferring every day.

Time to search that old "How to Transfer" guide.. i forgot how to do it right if u got 3 toons on 1 account ^^

If BW would need a Jedi ( can be a officer or Med aswell ).. a PvP spy <-- oh yea. even if i die over and over cause i forgot so much.

But i need to add: I cant promise i want stick to SWG.. time will tell if its worth.

It's super easy to transfer now. When you login it will ask you via pop-up screen. Of course you'll probably want to make sure you have everything packed up and on your toon. Easiest way is to just do the house pack-up with all your stuff in structures. Bank items will transfer in the bank so you don't have to empty that out. Once you're ready, type /freeCts and the little window will come up. All you have to do is select what server you want to go to and that's it. It'll disconnect you and then wait 2 hours. Done. Rinse and repeat for each toon.

As far as sticking with SWG, I completely understand and don't worry about that... you can still join BW, no commitment necessary. I transferred all my other toons from inactive accounts just the other day, had 'em guilded, but I won't be dropping any houses in the city because I know I won't be keeping those accounts going after the free play time.

Well i had this elder Account "problem" with 3 chars instead of 2, but i found the old guide. 5 Toons on the way ( 1 main 4 on 2 other accounts.. noone will be left behind!!! )

So Download is done but i have a short question.. is STO pretty much space only only are those ground missions important? i was trying to create a char but since u can chose 4 Bonus skill, i wanted to be sure i get the right stuff ^^

Yes, there's a lot of ground missions... but you will have a lot of help with your away team. So whatever skills you lack your away team will make up for.

For instance, my toon is a science officer and my away team consists of 1 tactical, 2 other science, and 1 engineer... just depends on what abilities you want with you and your playstyle. From what I've read some really like having all engineers on their away team... and others really like science, etc. I've found that I really like having more science because of the heals/buffs. But then the ones who use all engineers say they kill mobs really fast. I haven't tried that yet so I don't know.

All that being said, I would definitely suggest getting some skills for ground combat.

Just say this thing is a monster.. STO is already up and running.. highest settings without lag and loadtimes .. 1-2 sek? WOOT YEAH!!!!! ingame name is Kuvo or kuva? still to excitet about my new toy! This evening SWG gets on there and my last toons transferd. Guess that will still have the same look even on that machine but oh well ^^

Finally got my password figured out, but I'm trying to resist logging in cause I've got a project I need to finish up, and an MMO tempting me is the last thing I need.

Is the free CTS a permanent thing, or is there a time limit on it?

I transferred over to Flurry on the weekend. I'm kinda lost cause I haven't played in 2+ years and I don't know what to do lol.
