well i found a nice site with base sets u can modifiy.. and i came up with this:

Athlon 64 6000+ X2 AM2
4096MB DDR2 PC800
512 MB Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS PCI-E
18x DvD+-RW Double Layer
3,5" Disk

(whatever i take i geta software set with all kind of tools for free! /worth 345 €)

i could change some suff.. but higher quality will take more cash :/ and this will already get close to my own limit lol

(why i think about a new'? search a crysis trailer and u know it
:P  )

Seems pretty nice to me.

I'm an Nvidia guy all the way. Vista as well I assume. The 4 gig is nice. I'm behind on what processor is what these days. I have to say it has been many moons since I needed a 3.5 floppy. I opt for two DVD drives, one with all the bells and wistles, one that is just fast as I can find.

But I'd say that is a nice looking rig you got planned out there.

well 2 dvd drives.. i am fine with 1 since i can copy dvds with it..to watch them i have many more options hehe (360,ps2,dvd player)
There was a option for a High-End Blue Ray drive (500€ extra!!!!!)with dvd copy, read everything.. thats what i would add.. but i already spend to uch into the performance as that this would be a option LOL

Yes.. i am formyself a Nvidia Fan.. never disapointed me

Hey, ya, if you have xp disks, using them sounds good to me. As for the rest, it sounds like you have put some good thought into the planning for your use.

Soooo, when's delivery?

WOW so sweet. I remember around this time, by Jan 2 years ago with new job got new cpu. Back right before the NGE hit. This rig blows mine completely out of the water... I run things pretty well too, so this rig should run many things very sweetly.

VERY NICE nVdia all the way. And for gaming, Athlon processor.

Vista... it's in it's beta stage atm... so save it. Yeah, beta stage is the live version, the bugs on that thing is incredible... I'd forgo the headaches and use XP till Vista is more stable and save some euros too =)

Using old Hardrive? Or get a quicker one? And just use both? And look into the Mobo you want? I remember spending weeks figuring the Motherboard out hated that part...

I'd get a larger power supply, especially if you are thinking about SLI down the road for a performance boost. Even without it, to be safe, I'd get a 500+ watt rated power supply.
