Heyas all. Finishing up school this year my other degree in film. Finally =) Over winter break I'll have the time to finish (hopefully =) the site I'm making for LXB's venture into The Old Republic MMO. Thanks to student discounts I'm hopeful Santa will bring me some goodies like the new Photoshop and Flash. =)

The real design issue is deciding to go all out for TOR; making an essentially all TOR related site - as a few LXBers play other games but guild itself not really into them. Probably gonna do that - emphasis on TOR as that's where LXB will reunify (hopefully =)

Further issue within TOR - is most likley the guild has to choose a side. LXB has always been open - above either side, neutral - either side could be a member. Clearly, that's doubtful to be the case with TOR.

I'm thinking perhaps have "2 guilds" 1 for each side on 1 server but that could be problematic. I really don't want to be a one side guild but 2 gives headaches and seems like splitting. I'm making the site right now as a sort of "Highlander-esque" story theme - that is to say, what LXB was in SWG. The League of extraordinary Beings is "above" any side. Anyone part of the League can be either side, fight for their side as loyally as they'd like, but still be part of the secret league it's almost a "chosen" thing and special bond. In the end there won't be only one tho like what happened with SWG =) I'm also thinking of an inner struggle between LXB if 2 guilds. Fit with TOR. But this guild is about having fun together ultimately and not taking ourselves too serious.

ALSO - Anyone can feel free to make logo's for LXB if they wish - with that spirit and theme to represent LXB. I'll be making my own too and once things get more into motion, and more members return as TOR nears closer to release - I'll set up a vote.

Think I'll try and whip up a logo in a few weeks once I'm out of school. :)

You could flip a coin. Heads for Republic and Tails for Sith. Hard to choose because both sides are equally interesting.

haha. Well. If we tried both as essentially "seperate" guilds... IE LXB Sith and LXB Republic - ppl would need to still choose "mains" and a side. Don't want 2 separate guilds tho even tho would be one as LXB... ugh. Prob be majority rules of diehard LXBers. So ONE SIDE would get more attention than other sadly...

Regardless I'm determined to have a guild per side if have to. But again one of those side would be favored probably.

And I have no idea... I'd have stopped it sooner if I checked the email address associated with the forums more often I slacked with that. Maybe freeforums is losing it. At least we're popular again =)
