Curious hard to find info; a normal server transfer does it work the same way as the free char transfer? Didnt some of you a little back transfer a char or 2 from Intrepid to SS? I am just curious -
Not gonna leave just thinking if any transfer Kaleisk - I do like SF a lot but and am playing more at the same time after seeing areas like Coronet and Theed and Kash highly populated on a server like SS; and dead zones on SF - I cant help but want a char there. Maybe not Starlagger but lol.
Anyways.

As far as I know, the process works the same. And the CTS should be up to date, so it works like the free CTS. As in, all items/resources/factory crates etc. will transfer.

Then why is the CTS "free"? Did you have to actually pay something to transfer before?

The Free CTS is only running till sometime in March. It was SOE's way of dealing with the low-pop servers, although I don't think it worked out the way they planned. The Free CTS is also restricted as to which servers you can trasnfer 'from' and which servers you can transfer 'to'. If you want to go to a server that is not on the 'from' list, you'll have to pay. To make it simple, if the server you want to transfer from doesn't qualify for the Free CTS, you'll have to pay.
The CTS was always a paid service, so once the Free CTS is over, the only way to transfer will be by paying. Think it's $50 with items or something like that.

$50 is in the realm of not an option at all for me. Free or stay put. That's all I got.
I moved a char from Kett (outbound) to Starsider (inbound) that I haven't touched in 5 years. Only because it was free.

Right, it's 50 bucks a character which is ridiculous. Its like buying a whole new game or spending money on a tank of gas.

Could go with the cheaper, no-items route, for $25 I think. But, there's no point in that. Losing all your items just to transfer gets two thumbs down from me.

No items to transfer rofl. WHats the point then. Prob lose all badges or etc. I mean - heh.
