Oh yes! I'm getting really excited now that I've read the 4-part Countdown series that sets the stage for the movie. wEWt!

Anyone else going to see the movie when it comes out on May 8th?

4-part countdown series?

We're going to see it. I don't think on opening day, crowds make me crazy, but soon after.

I remember watching TOS with my Dad back when it first aired. I've been a Trekkie all my life. From the Klingon dictionary on my desk, to the technical manuals on the shelf, to the Star Trek Ken and Barbie set my husband found for me on eBay. I'm a Trekkie.

Oh sweet! Yeah I normally don't go see movies on opening day.. has to be something really big imo. I like the atmosphere because usually only serious fans would bother going on opening day.. makes it more exciting hehe.

Ok, Star Trek Countdown is a 4-part comic book series that is a prequel tie-in to the film. The story details the origin of Nero, the Romulan villain in the film. The first issue was released in January, second issue in February, third in March and fourth in April. The story connects the TNG era to the continuity of the film. That's why in the movie trailer Nero makes the comment that "James T. Kirk was a great man.. but that was another life."

Ok, the whole series is up! I kinda chain-linked them together. After you finish the first part, click Countdown Part 2 on the left of the page in the Album box. Then when you finish part 2, click part 3, etc. Hopefully this will make it so no one will accidently get them out of order.

It just doesn't let up.. never a dull moment.. oh man /fans self LOL
