hi all. i decided to check in again and it sure was nice to see some names that had nt been heard from in a while. :) good to know you are all well. i was looking forward to the away missions side of STO and am still hopeful for that part of the game. space combat would be cool to me as well but it would be a bit limited as far as long-term playability. course that comes from someone that had 2 aces in SWG and spent alot of time in space LOL. looking forward to old republic still though it s been down-sized some as well it seems. :/ if i do grab STO i ll look you up Kiir and whoever else gives it a look. later all :)

I got a free trial from a friend and I've found it to be a fun time killer. Sure it's repetative but if you LOVE Star Trek then you should deffinitaly try it out!

STO is going F2P soon! Hopefully before TOR launches.. would be fun to play it again for a little bit in the meantime.

No mission are locked to f2p. They're doing it differently than most. Very little will be locked or limited actually. And of the stuff that is limited, it's only if you've never paid to play. If your account has ever paid to play then that limited stuff will no longer be limited. For example, look at in-game chat and in-game mail. Limitations go away if you have ever paid a sub on that account. So, you could pay one month and then go f2p to unlock that hehe.

Hmmm I actually bought it on steam when on sale for nothing and never played. Need to see how improved it's gotten.
