I must say I didn't even know this was so far release date 02/02/2010! Whoa I missed a lot I thought it was dead Jim!... I heard it was cancelled a year ago? Hmm I must admit I didn't expect a STO lol. I guess cryptic took over from perpetual.

I put all my chips with LXB in TOR. Curious anyone playing/going to play STO? I know Mys/Qitu is... hmm. Well I only have time to plan and play one MMO for LXB.
Anyways... looking into STO now. Looks nice but not where I thought it would be. Seems more like PotBS.

As a Trekkie it's tempting but time and money wise I will skip. It looks like PotBS in space the original STO by perpetual was so much more vast in scope. Oh well. I'm sure it'll be fun. But I'll prob not try it for a while maybe a free trial.

I just pre-ordered it today. I get access to the beta on 1/16. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it is.

Well it definitely looks a lot less than it was going to be... at least by launch. Seems more like Pirates of the Burning Sea in space to be honest. I watched some of the videos they made. Not much about ground content; but yeah definitely... I have my doubts but never know...

If you pre-order you get access to the beta on 1/12. the game doesn't ship till 2/2. amazon doesn't charge you until they ship, so you can cancel your order after playing the beta for a couple weeks with no downside.

Okay I changed my mind after watching a trailer Zuk posted in his Theatre section... wow... its like a 64 bit game. How sad... man this game is going to be initially crazy in sales and then ppl will quit. Sad when Perpetual had Trek the graphics were insanely cool and concept much different. Shame.

I'm already in the Open Beta of ST:O and loving every second of it save for the normal bugs and errors because well...it IS beta. It really is awesome. Space combat is my favorite part of it, I just recently added dual quantum torpedo launchers to my Excelsior Class Starship, and I am already Lt. Cmdr in the ranking. Anyone who gets in and wants to join up find me at Thrawn@Thrawn0702. That'd be me dear friends. I also log into SWG every now and again to check the IWA. Any of you EVER gonna come back?

Not any time in the near future Kiir. Got my sights set on SWTOR at present.

I haven't had any reason to go back into the game.
