I've got the WoW monkey off my back and looking for some gaming ideas. I just finished the single player campaign for Starcraft 2 and started Elemental: War of Magic. It's a severely, disappointingly, flawed game right now, but I still love it. I loved me some Master of Magic back in the day.

I also logged on to www.godvillegame.com and have become addicted to it. I'm constantly checking on my hero when I should be focusing on work. I can't believe how much fun I have with something that isn't even really a game.

I've been playing console games lately because my computer is being used mostly for work and school. Right now I'm waiting for The Force Unleashed 2 for PS3. Starting to get sick of my xbox though, thing is noisy and Xbox Live cost have gone up which I don't use that much to begin with so I might end that. PC wise I haven't been playing much.

Right now u can find me playing many different games

Pirates of the burning sea ( EU server, i wouldnt suggest playing it.. once u hit 50 it gets really boring. even swg have more to offer at this lvl :( also its VERY unbalanced )

Dungeons and Dragons Online, startet playing for free ( yes F2P!! ) now i have a full VIP account (server Khyper), all dungeons = more fun.. pretty much based on teamplay but if u like D&D and a awesome dungeon here and there u cant get away from your comp playinf this.

Sometimes i am playing DOW2CR with a friend ( 3x space Marines vs 3x Tyranid or Orc =fun )
X-box.. bleh., red ring of death and not even up to get anew 1,not many games that id like to play

OF course.. i am having a hard time waiting for KOTOR...

Ouch yeah the red ring of death sucks. My first Xbox got that and I stuck with PS3 for awhile but then got an elite. Not really worth it now that I think about it. Need to reinstall windows on my Mac and get back on steam and wait for KOTOR. 8)

Honestly, not much. Some Steam games, Starcraft 2 of course! But that was august.

LOTR Online is now free: http://pc.ign.com/articles/111/1119658p1.html

May try that... and should note "free".

Hrm.. looks tempting Erisk. I don't mind the PvP costing.. not interested in that lol. Sounds like there's plenty of content for free. I could see the only problem probably would be if you joined a guild that ended up doing a lot of the pay stuff and you'd feel left out if you didn't. We should form a guild, Free LXB. hehe

If anyone tries it out, join Meneldor server. I'm having some issues with the game though... not sure if it's on my end or theirs... but the game freezes up during the opening story/tutorial. I've tried several times with my first toon, Zurielle, who is an elf. Then I created a human to see if that made any difference.. got a little bit further in the tutorial (which is different btw) but still ended up freezing on a loading screen.

I know they had all kinds of problems this past weekend due to the mass influx of peeps wanting to play for free, like me lol. So hopefully they get that all sorted out as I'm pretty sure it's not an issue on my end.

Ok, so I was able to play today without any problems. I think the issue was I was playing in DX10 mode which can be problematic. Once I changed to DX9 in the game settings it worked fine.

I finished the initial intro tutorial, which was actually pretty fun. My elf is now level 8 and out in the game world with the rest of the newbies hehe. It would be fun to have our own Kinship.. hint, hint :P

Might have to give that a try once I get some free time. Played the beta when it first came out, and found it to be fun then.

Hmm... A Kinship... a Fellowship of Races... a League of extraordinary races... of beings!

Well. If anyone tries this, Meneldor server I suppose. I downloaded, haven't installed no time yet.

Just curious what are the stats of that server? I mean, is it west coast, PVE oriented, etc. How many servers are in LOTR:O? Now I want to play...

Also should note... the p2p client, Pando Media Booster used to download LOTR:O is a horrid program that continues to run after download reseeding itself and starts on startup and will chew your bandwidth to shreds. It's not needed to run the game, so delete soon as it's downloaded or find another way like fileplanet to download. Turbine knows this, and posted a thread:

LOL Nobody. Well, I didn't bother to check what time zone Meneldor is primarily... it was just the one that was recommended when I joined. I've met a lot of nice people so far and even in chat there are several veterans who are very helpful... they even announce stuff like "if anyone needs any help just holler" or when they're about to log they ask "does anyone need any help before I go?" I thought that was real nice.

Anywho, I'm level 13 now and having a blast! Would be cool to have LXB back in action to some extent. It's going to be awhile yet before TOR is ready for launch so might as well play LOTRO seeing how it's free and all ;)

My laptop got really hot last night though... like magma hot lol. I need to get a laptop cooling pad before I do another 4-hour session hehe.

besides that.. f2p is nice but as i noticed within DDO.. uu wont be able to see the interresting content.. so my question.. how much is disabled? How many areas can u visit without to pay?

A fair question Nobody... I wondered the same myself. Being that it's F2P, I knew going in that a lot of stuff would be unavailable. However, I have found, from reading the forums and talking with vets, that it is possible to max a toon w/o paying a dime... and they said their is still A LOT of content for froobs (free-2-play noobs hehe). It will take longer, yes, because you will have to save up turbine points (which you get from completing quests/etc).

All in all I really don't care about being able to do everything.. it's free.. i'm not paying a stinkin' dime! - lol. No commitment. No worries. And it's something fun to play in between MMOs.
