(Don't read if you don't want!) Since many of us got in and played - figured we can have a chat, SPOILER FREE NO big story spoilers. I know this is kinda breachy of NGO, so yeah.

ANYWAYS - I am not shocked the story/VO are amazing. Just starter area too. I only played to level 10 to get a feel for classes. Really is like 8 sequels of KOTOR. From BW though no surprise. But seriously just 1-10 I've found myself unsure what to make my mains for launch now. I tried BH thinking I was 100% not going to do that, but the skills and story hooked me and morality choices. Same with SI - so now Idk :D

I didn't want to level too far and spoil much - but gonna be playing every class eventually just for the story heh.

I played 6/8 this weekend. My favorite was Sith Inquisitor and BH and Trooper. (I just began Imperial Agent when the beta closed and that got really good). Consular was kind of slow and underwhelming and slow until you got your companion. Didn't try Knight or Warrior.

I had little lag, not one crash.

So now idk what my two mains will be at launch.

I played BH until I got my ship and did a space fight. The abilities for the BH are awesome. My favorite being death from above. The space combat was much better than I thought it would be, very much like rogue squadron was back in the day.

I wasn't able to play as much as I would have liked but on Saturday night I played Smuggler first but only up to level 4 as I spent a lot of time setting up prefs, exploring, etc - cool story though!

Sunday afternoon/evening I played Sith Warrior - that rocked!

Those are the two I will be starting with at launch.

Movement is just like wow. Combat is similar to wow but not quite the same (I didn't see any auto attack).

Played my Sith Juggernaut up to 30 this weekend. The story, in my opinion, is awesome. The animations really gave off a lot of power. Every swing seemed heavy, and like there was a lot of force behind it. And, force choking people in conversations is just down right fun. :P

All the planets I went to were amazing, though Alderaan stands out the most. It's absolutely massive. You definitely need a speeder to get around, and even then, it can take a while to get from place to place. I even got to do the quest from this trailer, from the Imperial side, and in my opinion, the trailer doesn't do it justice. That throne room is just awesome once you see it for yourself.

I wouldn't recommend power leveling the way I did though. I didn't do any flashpoints, heroic quests, and skipped quite a bit of regular quests as well. And I found myself under leveled a few times, which made things more difficult than they should have been. So take the time, and enjoy the story, cause that's what this game is all about.

BioWare has done a fantastic job, and I can't wait to get back in again. :D

I was mostly surprised by how stable the beta was(at least for me) I didn't get any lag or anything like that.
I played a few characters up 9/10 myself and even though I planned to just make a smuggler when the game is out I know plan to go through as many as I can

I agree about the combat feeling like it had weight. The combat sound was awesome too. My first steps into the wilds of hutta had lasers shooting all around me, the muffled explosions of distant grenades a rockets. my own rockets tossed bad (good?) guys like toys. Bioware did a good job making things feel 'heroic' inside the story and out.

Now I need to force choke someone...

Yeah the stories are what it's about and the Voice Acting and morality - and combat gets only better higher you level aka choose adv class. Still lots of tweaking to be done. I stopped playing Trooper because that story got good and want to play that during Launch. However I'm still unsure my mains.

I may try the Knight and Warrior next beta.

Morality is the other unique thing with SWTOR - I found it very interesting trying to be a more LS Sith Inquisitor to see how playing opposite morality of your side was, and it was very believable with SI background, and is interesting how can play that but still be empire/loyal. Despite your first companion being uber DS. Tho lets face it being a Sith you want to kill and hurt ppl :D But that just makes replay really more incredible. There's lots of morality choices, esp BH story found that really cool. Why I love BW.

Kalla - I think you did it right for Beta imo - I wouldn't want to do all quests/immersion for Beta I'd save that for launch. But get a feel for game mechanics/system/planets.

Btw was there a way to see your XP progress I never could figure that out...

the xp bar is right under the powers tab. Kind of small to see, I wish it was made a little more noticeable

Okay... should be in char screen too imo. I did one Flashpoint the Black Talon one - currently it's majorally bugged the dialogue rolls, one person ends up dominating 90% of time. Joking that we were his companion char's because we never got to speak lol.

Makes the group missions replay value very good though to see other choices. I can't wait to do them with everyone here and at BW.

ALSO - if you had char's on Cosmic Turbine that server wasn't deleted... I know most cannot access beta now... but if get invited for new weekend, your char may still be around if on that server. I sadly only had one, my SI. Rest were on Canderous.

That'll be up for next beta next time we should try to make char's there, Cosmic Turbine. That being said, it's beta, they can delete servers/wipe them at anytime.

I think we should all just agree now to go to Cosmic Turbine for next beta. I really wanted to try out some group content with you guys.

There's a new build coming out on Thursday, and it looks like our characters won't get wiped. So I may end up playing my Juggernaut some more, see how far I can get. :P

I can't remember the servers I tried. I mostly went for the ones that weren't giving me a queue but for the next beta I will try to get on that server. I mostly solo'd last weekend since I don't like pug. In fact I kind of wish I could change my starter guild now but they've stopped that. Oh well I can just join when the game is out
